Check out our blog for how to be sustainable!
Light pollution is not only contributing to carbon dioxide levels, but it also can confuse animals such as sea turtles. Whenever they hatch, they may confuse city lights for the moon so that they go inland instead of out to sea. Light pollution is also bad for us because it limits our vision of the night sky.
Light pollution is caused by city lights and inefficient street lights. As you can see in the image above, lights that are not covered on the top produce unneeded light.
You can help stop light pollution by installing sustainable lighting. Sustainable lighting looks like LEDs and lights that are covered on the top, to maximize efficiency, and minimize excessive light.
