There are a lot of kinds of pollution, and they are all bad for the environment. We must act fast to stop pollution from damaging the earth permanently.
Plastic Pollution
Plastic pollution can take place in both the water and on land. On land, plastic can be harmful to plants. In the water, aquatic animals like sea turtles can eat plastic and die.
Air Pollution
Air pollution is the cause of climate change or global warming. Cars, aircraft, factories, and more emit bad gasses into our air. These gasses can be harmful when we breath them in.
Soil Pollution
Fertilizers can seep into the ground and harm animals. The chemicals then get into underground waterways. Then, the chemicals can harm animals when the animals are drinking water or when they come into contact with toxic substances.
Water Pollution
Water pollution is caused by oil, sewage, and other unnatural substances getting into the ocean and harming animals. These substances can get ingested by animals, and can majorly harm or kill them.
Light Pollution
Light pollution is not only contributing to carbon dioxide levels, but it also can confuse animals such as sea turtles. Whenever they hatch, they may confuse city lights for the moon so that they go inland instead of out to sea. Light pollution is also bad for us because it limits our vision of the night sky.
